Nicolas Luca Celli
I am a computational seismologist, specialised in modelling and imaging the earth's interior using seismic data. During my PhD I focussed on imaging the earth's mantle on a global and continental scale using Big Data. Later, I interested in Fibre-optic seismology--using optical fibre cables to sense ground vibrations. I got into the field developing computer codes to simulate and understand in detail how fibre cables record seismic waves, and now I am working on my own project trying to use long telecom fibres to probe the structure of the Earth's deep interior.
In my free time, I like to tinker build audio devices, play music, cook, shoot pictures and read books.
